Hairstyles

Option A:
Option B:

Option C:

What do ya'll think? I have always envisioned myself with my hair down on my wedding day--I guess I would be open to the up-do's also...I just haven't seen anything that has really popped out at me for those. I don't want to look completely over the top when it comes to hair and make-up, but feel free to make any suggestions!

We have a Reception Site!!

The reception site has been chosen!!!
Shew, what a relief! A burden feels like it has been lifted from my shoulders. After some contemplation, blood, sweat and tears--actually no tears--i'm staying quite dry, thanks. =)-- we have concurrently decided this is the place we want to share in our celebration with all of you!

Summit Manor Ballroom

Typically this site is vendored out for two events at a time, but we have decided to rent the entire site so that we are not disturbed by anyone else's events. The upper ballroom will be used as a bridal suite where the bridal party will enjoy some appetizers and drinks prior to being announced at the reception. The lower ballroom accomodates 175 people and this is where our reception will be held.
We are so excited to have this checked off of our to-do list!!

Taste Testing

We were ooohd and aaahd by Jim, the chef of Hunt Valley Catering at Summit Manor as he prepared an exquisite feast to delight our senses.

The Menu
We were first enticed with a spread of Hor D' eurves ranging from seasame chicken skewers to shrimp egg rolls to scallops wrapped in bacon to spanakopita. There were so many that I just couldn't keep track! Following the hor d' eurves, we were served with a filet mignon topped with a mushroom sauce, steamed vegetables and potatoes. They vendor out to Sweet Temptations for our wedding cake--we will have a separate meeting with them to taste test that!

The Reaction
The tasting was excellent and they provide great one on one service. You can tell that they are very accomodating and willing to work with you in any means possible. My initial reaction was to book them immediately, but we are taking a few days to think about it!

Catch Up!

I've been lazy...I apologize. =D

Wedding plans have been simmering...the ball is rolling with most things. We have a taste testing tonight with Hunt Valley Catering and my taste buds are ready for something delicious! I have been faxing menu ideas back and forth with the coordinator there--designing our own menu has been fun!

Other than that, I have just been enjoying being engaged. Everyonce in a while I will still look down at the bling on my left ring finger and my heart will skip a beat. This saturday, Justin and I will celebrate our 2 year anniversary! It's hard to believe it has been 2 years, it feels like yesterday that we (I) so nervously transitioned from being just friends to much much more.

And now...something to make you laugh:
RSVP Choices
The traditional...
People need options right?
And of course there is always the one or two guests you would love to send this to...

There is hope for this reception after all!

Friday we went to two reception venues. The first one was just, eh, ok. We walked out feeling like we could do better.
The second venue was with Hunt Valley Catering at Summit Manor. This venue was much better and left us filled with hope that we may actually be onto something here. We have a taste testing set up and we are working on our menu. They will customize your menu according to your wishes and wants, which we have found to be extremely helpful. They offer an all inclusive package, minus the linens. More details to come after the taste testing!!
